Speech Therapy
We provide services for the following areas and diagnoses:
- Apraxia - difficulty coordinating muscle movements
- Articulation/Speech - difficulty articulating specific types of sounds
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication - communication using alternative methods to supplement/replace speech
- Autism Spectrum Disorders - a condition characterized by difficulty communicating and forming relationships with others, difficulty using language and understanding abstract concepts
- Developmental Delay - a condition in which a child demonstrates a significant delay in attaining milestones in areas such as language, social development, and/or motor development
- Down Syndrome - a congenital disorder characterized by developmental delays
- Fluency/Stuttering - speaking with involuntary repetition of sounds and/or words
- Cognitive Deficits - impairment in mental processes such as memory, attention, and executive functioning
- Oral Motor Deficits - tongue thrust, interdental productions, difficulty using muscles to talk/chew/eat
- Phonological Disorder - difficulty organizing the patterns of sounds
- Receptive/Expressive Language - difficulty understanding or using language
- Social Skills/Pragmatics - skills we use to communicate and interact with others, verbally and nonverbally
Occupational Therapy
We provide services for the following areas and diagnoses:
- Self-care tasks (dressing, feeding, sleeping, etc.)
- School productivity (tabletop activities including handwriting, cutting, and other fine motor activities)
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Sensory Processing Disorder
- Developmental Coordination Disorder
