Speech Language Pathologist


Jodie received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin.  She earned her Master's in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston.  


She is licensed by the State of Texas and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  


Jodie did a rotation in the Parish School, a school for children with autism that focuses on educating  the whole child: cognitive, social, emotional, physical and talent development.  She then worked in Alief ISD's REACH program, classrooms exclusively for children with autism.  Jodie then transitioned to work in a private practice before opening her own speech therapy clinic.  


Jodie has over 10 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist and loves to have fun while making progress with her clients.  She has a special interest in autism, articulation, stuttering, and social language development based on the DIR Floortime model.   She looks forward to working with you and your family and growing together! 

Jodie enjoys being with her family, travelling, practicing yoga, juicing, and holistic health. 

Valintean Pennick, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist


Valintean received a Bachelor's of Science in Communication Sciences at the State University of New York College at Buffalo and a Master's of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from the State University of New York College at Buffalo in 2008. She is licensed in the State of Texas. Valintean also  possesses a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech and Hearing Association. She has extensive experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist and a supervisor in private practice, home health care, and in school settings. Valintean is passionate about working with both children and adults. Her special areas of interest include tongue thrust, articulation, accent reduction, and language.  She is certified to provide adult vision screenings and children's hearing screenings.  


Valintean enjoys writing.  She frequently blogs, has written an article and is currently writing a book about language development from a parents perspective.  When she is not providing speech therapy services she is very busy being a wife and mother to two amazing boys. 



Mia Breaux, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

 

Mia is a passionate speech language pathologist that graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2010 with a Bachelors in Speech Pathology.  She received her Master's in Speech Language Pathology from Southern University of Baton Rouge in 2013.  


Mia has worked with adults and children in various settings such as schools, in home, and other private settings.  She has experience working with patients with disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Autism, Aphasia, Apraxia, Swallowing disorders, Voice disorders and Fluency disorders.



Jenny Rabassa

Office Manager


Jenny is our wonderful office manager!  She has over 16 years of experience in the medical industry and has spent the last 5 years in the therapy field.  She has managed multiple offices and has built a reputation for helping businesses to thrive.  Jenny is dedicated, honest, kind, and motivated to help our staff and patients.    


Jenny has a husband of 20 years and 3 daughters that keep her busy with academics, softball, and band.  She is dedicated to serving her church and community with all her heart.  Jenny enjoys crafting, reading, and is currently working on her first book. 

Caroline Burciaga, B.S., SLP-A

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant


 In 2013, Caroline graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Communications and a minor in English.  After working with children for 3 years in event-based fundraising, Caroline met a speech language pathologist and discovered a new love for communication disorders.  She then returned to the University of Houston and enrolled into their Speech Language Pathology Assistant’s program and was voted, “Outstanding Assistant Speech Language Pathology Student,” by her program professors.


Caroline has a strong love for working with children and has now been a speech language pathology assistant for 3 years.  She enjoys working with articulation, stuttering, pragmatics, and expressive language.   In her spare time, Caroline loves reading, staying active and volunteering. 

Paige Hajdik, M.S., OTR

Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist


Paige received her Bachelor's degree in Child Development from Texas Woman's University in May of 2010, then earned her Master's in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman's University in December of 2011.  She is licensed by the State of Texas and certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. 


Paige has worked in a variety of settings, including pediatric outpatient clinic, acute neuro inpatient rehab, home health, and skilled post-acute rehab.  Paige has 8 years of experience as an occupational therapist with some of her favorite and most directed training as a pediatric therapist with a background in varying sensory integration techniques. 


Paige has specialty training and education on the following treatment methods: MNRI, pediatric aquatic therapy, therapeutic listening, Brain Gym 101, Kinesio Taping 1 & 2, MNRI Dynamic and Postural Reflex Pattern Integration, and neuro rehab techniques including PNF and NDT.  She prides herself on promoting functional gains through the use of her patients' and families' meaningful occupations.  She has experience with varying diagnoses ranging from Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Downs Syndrome, ADHD, behavioral disorders, Cerebral Palsy, and more.


Paige enjoys being with her family, going to the beach, painting, crafts, and any time spent outdoors.  

Cristina Belgodere, B.S., COTA

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant


Cristina received her Bachelor's in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Fitness at Sam Houston State University in 2016 and then continued on at Lone Star College to receive her Occupational Therapy Assistant license through the state of Texas.  


Cristina discovered her passion for occupational therapy while working as an Occupational Therapy Technician for one year in a pediatric clinic in Hunstville, Texas.  She also has experience working with adults in a variety of hospital settings and has a strong interest in sensory integration and child development. 


Cristina was raised in Waco, Texas and enjoys traveling, going to the movies, staying active, and trying out new recipes.
